WOULD?

Alice in Chains Live Performance

Performance Notes

Would? is one of the defining moments of the Alice in Chains catalogue — a slow-burning, bass-led elegy from the band's 1992 album Dirt, written by Jerry Cantrell as a tribute to Mother Love Bone's Andrew Wood. It became the lead single from the Singles soundtrack the same year and quickly cemented itself as one of the most recognisable songs of the entire grunge era.

This performance sits within the Radio In Chains concept — the Alice in Chains half of the set where the dark, hypnotic weight of Seattle's finest gets the room it needs to breathe. The vocal layering and the slow march of the chorus carry the same haunted quality that made the original a generational anthem.
